Born: Mary “Minnie” Morris on 16th February, 1894 in Sheskinshule to Charles and Rose Morris (nee McKeown)

Appointments: Professed on 2nd February, 1919

Entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in New Jersey (after emigrating to the United States)

Ministered in America

Became a teacher of the blind and devoted her life to caring for them in schools and other institutions such as Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River in 1928

Spent some time in St. Genevieve Elementary School in Van Nuys, California in 1950

Died: 31st May, 1967 in New Jersey

Appointments: Entered Sacred Heart Order

Ministered in the United States

Died: 19th July, 1981

Sr. Mary Leila

Born: Bridget Quinn in 1907* in Broughderg
to Henry and Sarah Quinn

Appointments: Entered the Sisters of Mercy in Thornhill, Derry

Tended to the needs of the boarders at Thornhill School there

Died: 7th May, 1983

Sr. Eugenius
SR. EUGENIUS
Born: Roseann Fox on 18th January, 1910 in Formil
to Stephen and Kate Fox (nee McAleer)

Appointments: Entered the Sisters of Mercy
in Australia and spent most of her life in Perth

Died: 2nd February, 2008

Her grand-nephew was Fr. Gerard Fox, a Chaplain in Belfast City Hospital

Appointments: Entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace and spent most of
her life teaching in Nottingham

Retired: As Principal Teacher of St. Augustin’s Primary School in Nottingham in 1976

Died: 20th July, 1991

Born: Cassie Fox on 15th August, 1918 in
Leaghan to Mr. and Mrs. John Fox

Appointments: Entered the Sisters of Nazareth

Ministered in Sligo, Cork, England, South Africa and Stoughtan, Wisconsin where she and 3 other Sisters founded the Nazareth House Convent and a home for the elderly

Died: 16th November, 1984

to Mickey and Bridget Keenan (nee Fox)

Ministered in England and America, returning to Belfast one year before she died

Died: 21st April, 2004

Born: Margaret Daly on 23rd June, 1923 in Crockanboy to John and Brigid Daly

Appointments: Professed on 16th December, 1947

Entered the Sisters of Mercy, Belfast

Was a cook and spent many years working in Abbeyville House before taking up a post in Our Lady’s Home in Beechmount, Belfast where she lived and worked until she became terminally ill

Died: 16th March, 1990

Also known in religious life as Sr. Celsius
